Summary After a 4-0 Away success at Westbury United on the opening day, The Seagulls continued their positive start to life at Step 4 with an impressive win against long-distance travellers Paulton Rovers, the match containing plenty of great  action all over the pitch and enjoyed by the large crowd witnessing Southern League football on home territory for the first time.

CONCLUSIONS
 Mousehole’s seven-goal haul and second clean-sheet win in four days keeps them in first place in the early League table, level on points with Willand Rovers and fellow promoted team Bemerton Heath Harlequins Next for The Seagulls is a ‘local derby’ Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round tie this Saturday (19th, 3pm), at St Blazey, newly promoted to the Western League Premier Division.  In the Extra Preliminary Round, St Blazey won 3-1 at Step 6 Wendron United, while Mousehole won 4-1 at Home against Step 5 llfracombe Town.  This being Mousehole’s third season in the FA Cup, they will be aiming to progress to the First Qualifying Round for the first time, having had an early exit at the hands of Plymouth Parkway (H) and Torpoint Athletic (A) in successive years.  A draw at 90 minutes on Saturday would mean a replay at Trungle Parc on Tuesday 22nd, 7.45pm. AL / 17.08.2023
